Alaska Fly Out rainbow Trout Fishing

Alaska fly out rainbow trout fishing trips are really something to look forward to.  I leave tomorrow on a 7 day adventure in Bristol Bay for trophy rainbow trout and king salmon fishing.  This is a personally designed trip for the HARD CORE, adventurous fisherman that wants to get the most out of there experience.  We will be in state of the art tents, comfortable 18 ft. rafts and eating like kings.  On this adventure we will be floating 72 miles of river, starting in the high country and ending up in dense, forested country near where the Nushagak River starts.  From the wildlife to the fish that haven’t seen a fly in a year or more, we expect to do very well on this trip.  Grayling, rainbow trout, Dolly Varden, chum salmon, king salmon,  and northern pike are all expected to be seen on this trip.  There is lots of planning involved in a trip like this so if you are interested in putting a back country trip of a lifetime together in the bush of Alaska make your plans with our guide service early.  We will only fish up to 6 people on two rafts on our back country trips to ensure a personal trip that you are never going to forget. I will not be able to get back to emails or phone calls until the 25th of June starting tomorrow.  Don’t hesitate to leave a voice mail or send an email if you are inquiring about a trip and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can! mouse-pattern-001 Big Bristol Bay rainbow trout often take mouse patterns viciously in the spring before the salmon show up.  We plan to do very well on patterns such as this one! If your interested in booking a like this or a guide trip on the kenai river give us a call and we’ll work closely with you to make it happen! Kenai River Rainbow Trout Fishing In October

Kenai River Rainbow Trout Fishing in October is a great time to get out and experience the river. The crowds are starting to dwindle and the water levels usually are doing the same.  The weather can get cold and snow will be in the forecast more than likely but the fish will be there. Being new to fly fishing, Sam handled this fish like a pro.  Great Job! When the tempuratures drop we will not remove the fish from the water so there isn’t as high of a mortality rate.  Please respect this and we will do our best to get a quality picture of you catch.  If we plan on harvesting a silver salmon this rule doesn’t apply! Grayling are not a common fish in the Kenai river but we do catch one every once in a while.  Today was the exception, we caught one 8″ arctic grayling today.  Grayling will move into the kenai river later in the season to find food before the long winter sets in. October fishing on the kenai river can be very productive.  Silver salmon are spawning now and the Rainbow trout move right behind them to feed.  If you would like a late season guide trip on the kenai river contact us anytime. Alaska Top Water Rainbow Trout Fishing

Alaska rainbow trout fishing   Under the right conditions and timing you can find some great Alaska top water rainbow trout fishing.  From Dry flies in small streams and lakes to big mouse patterns on the Kenai and other rivers in the state.  June proves to be a good month on the Kenai Peninsula for this and I have some great streams in other parts of the state that can provide top water rainbow trout fishing. It is my goal to explore at least one new river every year. This year we chose Lake Creek to see if it was worth adding to the arsenal.  At the begining of the trip we were able to get plenty of rainbows taking mouse patterns which made the trip worth while right then and there. We had high muddy water for the whole trip and still the river produced a good number of rainbow trout, grayling, and silver salmon .  On our 60 mile adventure through white water, rocks and canyons. We found ourselves thinking that we need to show this to you.   If you are interested in a 6 day 5 night back country float I think we found a great adventure for you!  I can put this Alaska guide trip together and work closely with you to build a fishing trip of a lifetime. Willow Creek Fly Fishing

Willow Creek Alaska Guided Rainbow Trout Grayling and Dolly Varden Fly Fishing with Guide Scott Sager Willow creek fly fishing opportunities are action packed and exciting.  September Rainbow trout fishing is great almost everywhere in Alaska now. Most of the Salmon are at the end of their life cycle and the trout are really keying in on this food source right now.   I fished Willow Creek with the folks from Murray’s fly shop on Tuesday and we had a spectacular time.  The fishing on the many streams off the Parks highway are easily accessible and full of fish.  The rainbow Trout seemed to concentrate at the confluence of the Susitna and Willow Creek in good numbers today.  We caught three species of fish in about 30 minutes.  Grayling, Dolly Varden, and Rainbow trout were our main focus letting the salmon spawn with no harassment of big streamers in there spawning beds. Once a salmon sets up on its spawning bed or also known as a red they will protect this area by taking anything that passes through this area.  Willow creek fly fishing is a lot of fun, mostly wade fishing opportunities and  A great place to check out. Hope to see you on the river!

We can get you lined up on a Willow creek fly fishing trip upon request and will be happy to show you the river.  Just another Alaska fishing opportunity.

ALASKA SHEEFISH FISHING

Alaska sheefish fishing is something that I have been wanting to do since I moved here in 2002. This past week I took a short trip but long drive to a little river above the Yukon river.  This is the only road side fishery that I have found that sustains a fishable number of Sheefish!  We fished for only a day but found that this smaller stream has a lot to offer. We found pike, grayling, dolly varden, and smaller sheefish.  Sheefish can grow bigger than 50 lbs. but the biggest one we found was about 8 lbs.   The little river that I am talking about is the Ray river about 30 mile or so north of Fort Yukon.  Good fishing and I hope that you to can check this river out! We can hook you up with a sheefish fishing trip in alaska upon request.  Give us a call or an email to find out more information on fishing in alaska.
