Deep Creek Steelhead Fishing Guide

Kenai river Rainbow trout fishing will continue to be good through the end of June. In July the rainbow trout fishing tends to tapper off a little but then picks back up again in early August. In August September and October Kenai River rainbow trout fishing will continue to be good. The Kenai river offers excellent opportunities for trophy fish on both fly and light tackle. Our Guide service will supply all tackle, flies, waders (if needed), rain gear (if you do not have your own) and rods needed for your trip. We also will have water, hot coffee, and snacks on board. You will need: sunglasses, extra layers of clothing, a packed lunch, and a valid fishing license for the day.
Along with guided Kenai river rainbow trout fishing trips, we also offer guided king salmon fishing, silver salmon fishing, sockeye salmon fishing, dolly varden fishing, arctic grayling fishing, and steelhead fishing depending on the time of the season. All of these species of fish make for an exciting adventure in Alaska. I fish most every day during the South Central Alaska fishing season and take great pride in showing a quality trip to our guests. Give us a call or contact us here on the site and we will get you lined up on a great fishing trip on the Kenai Peninsula or surrounding areas here in Alaska.

Dolly varden fishing on the kenai river can be excellent. Along with the rainbow trout fishing you will find that these hard fighting fish can really be a good variety to your day.
The guys taking time for family photos on the Kenai river and soaking in the experience. The high bank I am on is a great place to eat lunch and view the river and mountain range
behind skilak lake.
The rainbow trout and Dolly Varden fishing was really good in the morning and tapered off a little by the afternoon. We still managed to find pockets of fish that were willing to feed. After I dropped my guest off I picked up a buddy and my dog at the dock and hung out on the river for another couple hours. It makes for a long day but winter is coming fast and this is the time of year I love the most.
If you are interested in a day on the water this year I still have days available for the in September and october this year. Give us a call at 907-382-6808 or click here

Jack caught so many fish today that after 8 hours he was laying down on the deck trying to run a drift. It didn’t work so well but he just couldn’t bring himself to quit!
Everyone caught good fish and they are already in for another week next year.
This Large dark rainbow trout was caught close to the shore. I think he was taking a break from the current and hanging in some easier water.
Dolly varden are often caught while fishing for rainbow trout on the kenai river
Rainbow trout fishing is all catch and release with barbless hooks. This policy is to ensure the future of these beautiful fish. If you are interested in a day out on the water with our company contanct us on our site or give us a call at 907-382-6808.

I got my flask back today from getting engraved! On the back I am planning on engraving your name on it when you catch a 30″ rainbow trout or better and/or a king salmon 50#’s or better. Over the years I haven’t kept as good of track of this accomplishment as I should have and in the future you can bet that I will never forget another one! I know lots of you that are following this blog have fished with me before and am asking you to give me a call, text or email if you have caught a extremely big fish on tape with me and i will be happy to add you to the half gallon flask club!

DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM SOLDOTNA ALASKA TO BINGS STATE PARK AND BOAT LAUNCH IN STERLING.
Most Drifting on the Fly’s Rainbow trout and Silver salmon trip will meet here in the mornings.
View DIRECTIONS TO BING’S LANDING in a larger map
Bings boat Landing is located on Bings road in Sterling Alaska. Bing’s landing and state park a lot to offer visitors and residents too. This 126 acre park has 36 campsites, picnic sites, a picnic shelter, trails, and of course a boat launch. Bing’s boat landing is centrally located in the middle section of the Kenai river. It is the last boat landing before you reach Naptown rapids so if you are not an experienced boat operator make sure you make this landing. For drift boat trips we will meet here in the morning and leave your rig in the parking area. Then we will drive in my vehicle to the Lower Skilak lake boat launch which is about 20 minutes away. Here we will Launch and make our way down the middle kenai river back to bing’s landing. This is a very scenic trip and some consider it to be the best rainbow trout fishing on the kenai river at times. If we are using the power boat we will meet at the boat launch and make our way up or down river to fish. The use of the motor allows us to end up at bing’s landing again at the end of the day. Bing’s landing and state park is does have a pay to park fee station and is strickly enforced so make sure you check in.Tight lines,
