WINTER FISHING ON THE KENAI RIVER

Drifting on the FlyWINTER FISHING POSTS

Winter fishing on the kenai river is much more work than fishing in the summer time, we have way more winter than summer so we have to improvise.

The gage in Cooper Landing at the headwaters of Kenai River is reading about 355 cubic feet per second.  We should start to see a drastic change in stream flow with melt off and precipitation.    Water temperature on the upper river is now around 37 degrees.
