Our trip this morning started off out of the seward harbor.
During our hour And a half long boat ride out to the fishing grounds we witnessed the most beautiful surroundings. Here are a couple pictures of some scenery Along the way.
I fished the fly rod a few hours today and caught a hand full of black bass and lost a few silver salmon. I just couldn’t get down to the halibut today. Sometimes the halibut will come to the surface if the conditions are right.
I took lots of footage with the go pro camera today and forgot to use the still camera more than I should have of fish. I caught halibut, yellow eye, lingcod, black bass, and a few other species of cod fish today on our outing. here is a picture of a nice yellow eye I caught today!
Today was calm, sunny and flat out beautiful on the water. This is rare for saltwater fishing in Seward alaska but these days do happen. What a lucky group we had out today!
We are just now headed back in off the water so I’ll post a pic of the rest of the fish some other time.
