Where We Go
We tailor each trip based on the season and wildlife activity, choosing from three stunning and diverse locations:
Kenai National Wildlife Refuge
Covering nearly 2 million acres, this refuge is a haven for migratory birds in spring and fall. We often explore its quiet corners for waterfowl, loons, shorebirds, and songbirds, especially during peak migration seasons.
Kenai River
This glacier-fed river cuts through pristine wilderness and is home to bald eagles, moose, beavers, and more. The turquoise waters provide incredible photo ops and frequent animal sightings.
Famous for its salmon runs and iconic blue water, the Kenai River offers not only potential bear sightings along the banks but also a rich diversity of aquatic birds and the occasional curious moose or otter.
Kasilof River
This quieter, lesser-known river offers an off-the-beaten-path feel, perfect for spotting nesting birds, ducks, and wildlife with fewer crowds—ideal for those seeking a peaceful experience.

When to Come
Each season offers unique wildlife viewing:
• Spring (May –June): Peak bird migration, early bear sightings, moose calves, and blooming wildflowers.
• Summer (June–August): Best time for spotting bald eagles, beavers, salmon in the rivers, and long daylight hours.
• Fall (September–October): Crisp air, fewer people, golden foliage, and the chance to see wildlife preparing for winter.
Winter trips are not offered at this time.
